Louisiana Crab Cakes are make by Troy Wainwright of 1910. SWLA's only crab and art festival - brings regional cuisine, culture, and art to the forefront each August. For a $25 ticket, festival goers take part in an extensive crab and beer tasting which features area restaurants each offering a crab dish representative of their cuisine's styles and personalities. Past dishes have included crab ceviche, crabmeat beignets, crab sushi rolls, and crab gazpacho. Dishes are then paired with Louisiana craft brews from breweries such as Covington Brewhouse, Bayou Teche Brewing, Parish Brewing, and Tin Roof Brewing Co. Live music, local art displays, and interactive cultural activities will also accompany the event. As a "Top 20 Event in the Southeast" by the Southeast Tourism Society, Arts & Crabs Fest is quickly becoming a signature event for Southwest Louisiana and is consistently a sell-out.
