Kadence Battenfield, the granddaughter of Nacny Battenfield of Sulphur, cakes Sulphur Mayor Chris Duncan.

The Quad, a hangout for children, will mark its one-year anniversary on Labor Day by hosting a fundraiser for a local nonprofit.
Sulphur Mayor Chris Duncan has put out a challenge in conjunction with the event, asking organizers to raffle opportunities to “cake the mayor to help raise money” for Old School Community Center, at 565 North Crocker St.
