Professional dog handler Aslynn Rose watches over the dogs of some of her clients Wednesday afternoon at the Lake Charles Civic Center. Rose, from Texas, is in town for two dog shows that will begin Thursday and end Sunday.
The Calcasieu Kennel Club Show is Thursday and Friday, June 9 & 10. The Acadiana Kennel Club show is Saturday and Sunday, June 11 and 12.. Approximately the same dogs are entered each day but are judged by different judges from all over the United States, according to the Calcasieu Kennel Club website. Rose is paid by dog owners to show their dogs at shows like these.
