The Oak Park Square Shopping Center at the corner of Gerstner Memorial Drive and E. Prien Lake Road remains abandoned and littered with storm construction debris Monday afternoon, nearly 14 months after Hurricane Laura hit. The entire shopping center, which was home to Hobby Lobby, Sears Outlet, Big Lots, Harbor Freight Tools, It’s Fashion and other businesses before Laura, is now surrounded by a chain-link fence. Centurion Construction Management, a Baton Rouge company, has a sign in front of the property.
