Family & Youth Counseling Agency, Inc. (Family & Youth) and The Stables at Le Bocage are hosting the Reins of Hope Charity Horse Showon Saturday, November 22, 2014 at 8:30 am. The event is open to the public and will take place at The Stables at Le Bocage, 450 South Park Rd., Lake Charles, LA.



Join equestrian enthusiasts for a day of competition as horses from all over Southwest Louisiana compete against one another in classes such as; breeding, jumping, dressage, riding, and much more. During the festivities enjoy drinks and food provided by area vendors. A silent auction will be open throughout the duration of the event featuring several unique items. A raffle will also take place, the prize to be raffled is a Yeti Cooler, raffle tickets are available for $5.00 each.



Proceeds from the Reins of Hope Charity Horse Show will benefit children receiving counseling and therapy at the Shannon Cox Counseling Center, a division of Family & Youth. Money raised from the event will go to benefit all programs of Shannon Cox Counseling Center, including a new program focused on horse riding therapy.



Therapeutic Riding embraces the horse as a partner, assisting the rider with activities that challenge both the mind and body. The unique relationship shared with a horse during therapeutic riding can increase self-awareness, foster trust, and build self-esteem which can lead to a child’s recovery to a happier and healthier life.
