Catherine Holden, 91, center, is all smiles after completing the 50-meter freestyle and the 50-meter and 100-meter backstroke at the Southwest Louisiana District Senior Games Tuesday morning. She is congratulated by her friend and swimming coach Marilyn Dawdy, left. Holden, of Sulphur, was a shoo-in for first place because there were no other competitors in the 90-94 age category. "I just had to show up, but I wanted to earn them," she said of her gold medals. The mother of eight will turn 92 April 12. The swimming competition took place at the McNeese Recreational Complex. The games continue through March 30.
