By Donna Price / American Press
An adult green wing cicada crawls up the bark of a tree Monday in Lake Charles. After living underground as a nymph for from 13 to 17 years, this cicada has emerged and molted one last time, becoming an official adult. It will live for four to six weeks. Males cicadas sing in trees.
