BayouCon 2015 Anime, Sci-Fi, & Comic Convention is Back! The 7 th annual BayouCon, Southwest Louisiana’s largest pop culture convention, will be held June 19-21 at the West Cal Events Center, 2900 Ruth St. in Sulphur. This year’s event features Alex Zahara from Once Upon a Time, Anthony Montgomery from Star Trek: Enterprise, Todd Haberkorn – Voice Actor, Robert Axelrod – Lord Zedd on Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Also, in attendance are Sonya Thompson from The Walking Dead, Scott L. Schwartz from WWF and Oceans 11, and Louisiana native John R. Mangus from Jurassic World. BayouCon will also have several featured cosplay artists donning their different costumes. Additionally, there will be a large display of artists and authors including Johnny Segura III and Tim Pennington who will showcase their independent works along with custom commissions. Featured highlights at the convention include a life size replica TARDIS and Daleks from Doctor Who plus the Jurassic Park Jeep. In addition to the celebrities, fan groups like the Doctor Whooligans, Stargators SG-21, IKV K’Vette will be present. The conference will feature panel discussions, opening ceremonies and console and table top gaming complete with Magic the Gathering and Smash Brothers tournaments. Membership tickets for the weekend are $25 in advance and $30 at the door. All Active and Retired Military weekend memberships are $15. Advance tickets may be purchased through www.bayoucon.net . Children 10 and under are admitted free. VIP membership tickets can also be purchased online which offers the attendee a chance to visit with the celebrity guests and include extra goodies.
