Lake Charles city worker Israel Reed cuts through concrete on Lakeshore Drive Monday afternoon in front of the Lake Charles Civic Center. Part of the roadway was closed to traffic as Reed and his group work at leveling the road's surface. This part of the street was too high, interfering with drainage during rainy weather.
