Boy Scout Troop 22 from Gillis and the Sons of the American Revolution, Pollack Chapter, are looking for volunteers to help them assemble flag poles and hardware and hang 977 9 1/2-by-5-foot flags. Each flag represented a veteran who died in the line of duty or was the official casket flag at his or her funeral. Setup begins at 6am and take down begins at 5pm. The annual Lake Charles Memorial Day Service begins at 9am.
