Olivia Day, the daughter of Katie Day and Austin Guthrie of Moss Bluff, gets a thank you from Pierre the Poodle after reading him a book during the Moss Bluff Library's Fun with Fideaux event.

SWLA Humane Society will bring trained dogs to the library where children will pick out a book, pick a dog, and read aloud to the dog. It is a non-threatening way for kids, who might be uncomfortable reading, to relax and learn to enjoy reading, as the dog will not interrupt, correct, find fault or do anything other than listen.
