In conformation shows the dog is judged on how well it conforms to the standard published by the American Kennel Club. AKC Group Pictures can be seen on the AKC website. On the AKC website www.akc.org you can let your mouse hover over "Breeders" at the top of the page and then click on "Breeds" where you can select the breed about which you want to know more.


When & Where: The Calcasieu Kennel Club hosts two conformation shows each year in June at the Lake Charles Civic Center. The dates of our next shows are Saturday and Sunday, June 7 & 8, 2014. The Acadiana Kennel Club hosts their shows with us on Thursday and Friday. Approximately the same dogs are entered each day but are judged by different judges from all over the United States. Premium List: If you are interested in Premium Lists for upcoming shows, please contact Onofrio Dogs Shows at www.onofrio.com. Click on "Downloads" across the very top of the screen and then choose "Premium List Request." If you just want information about the CKC shows, click on "Show Information" at the very top of the screen and select "Upcoming Shows" if it is before 5/21/14 or "Closed Shows" if it is after 5/21/14. Entries for the dogs must be received by Onofrio Dog Shows by Wednesday 5/21/14 which is about three weeks before the shows.

Judging Program: After the entries close on 5/21/14, you may go to Onofrio Dog Shows and click on "Show Information" and choose "Closed Shows" to find a copy of the Judging Program which has the actual times the individual breeds will be shown and when the groups will start.
